So, technically, this isn't a post about travel. But, since I've started with Cyclocross, I wanted to keep that going, especially since this one was fairly unique... being that it was in the snow. It was an interesting race and gave me the chance to sport my new snow boots! Who am I kidding, it was practically the REASON I bought waterproof, warm boots... after that last race in Leavenworth, I was done with cold wet feet!
Here's my first sight as I come up the hill to meet up with Andy during his warm up... wow! haha!
Biking in the snow? Why not!
Andy's cousin Lexi came to hang out with us and her boyfriend Tom raced as well.
Here's Tom
Dan (looking a little unsure?)

Tom winding through the practice utility poles
Dan wins his single speed race AND the cat. 4 race!
Andy starting his first category 3 race
A slippery climb
Through the woods
Looking good
Then not so good :(
I'm at a loss for words on this one... quite the sight coming out of the woods!
And he's gaining again
And...
Here's the worst and final fall (of too many) during this race... you can see his shoe not coming unclipped as he goes down int the barrier. Ouch!
But he carries on and finishes 6th. Not bad, I say, for his first time in this division!
But he wasn't too happy...
And on to the "open" race.... annnddd????
Here's Dan in his second race of the day
And he's the only one that will take the beer hand off!
A close call, but he recovers and stays up!
